I saw this woolly bear caterpillar with a snowflake on its back along the boardwalk in Fairy Lake park in Newmarket. Did you know that these little ones have the ability to go into a cold stasis during freezing temperatures, and then recover when warmer days come? For me they are symbols of resilience, patience, acceptance and trust, knowing somehow that warmth will one day come.
