When I and my siblings were little, our Mom taught us the names of the plants and wildlife when we were out in nature. It was rare that we would see a “Jack in the Pulpit” like this one so it was always a special find!
Rather than resembling a preacher standing in a church pulpit, I like to think of the shape of this plant as a reminder of the peace I can find when I get quiet and turn inward to find the sanctuary within myself.
