24”x36”
Acrylic on Gallery-Depth Canvas
Permanent Collection of the Town of Newmarket
The dandelions I've captured in this painting were bright yellow when uprooted from our driveway, but they quickly went to seed.
This piece is about hoping in the face of no hope. It's about how even near the end of our life, we can still be growing and transforming. And when our life is over, we can still be making a difference.
It is about how, when we are literally pulled up out of our life by the roots, something within us, or some part of us, carries on, even after the end. And how every one of us, through acts of service, kindness, care and love, scatters seeds that will grow and bloom even after we are physically gone.
