What made this heirloom tomato even more beautiful to me was its imperfections…its asymmetry and the scarring and markings on it.
As someone with a very active inner critic, for me this tomato presented a wonderful metaphor for a kinder way to see myself and others. Our imperfections, our authenticity and the difficult things we go through actually add to our depth, our character, our value and our lovability. They enhance what we can offer to the world and how we can be of service.
