The beauty I saw in the rotting apples below a neighbour’s tree reminded me to reflect and notice what glimmers of insight, growth or beauty there may be in the difficult experiences I have… such as when someone or something I love or am attached to changes, breaks down, leaves or dies. Maybe I don’t feel, hear or see those glimmers right away. Sometimes they only reveal themselves in time. For me, beauty can co-exist with pain and loss, and that beauty is all about love.
