These “bleeding hearts” flowers remind me of my late Mom, who used to have them in her garden, which was a peaceful, nourishing, magical place during my childhood.
As someone who feels things deeply, like my Mom did, I love that these flowers are beautiful, steadfast perennials that grow back faithfully every year. There can be great strength in a tender heart and my Mom showed that in her empathy, compassion and service for others.
