After spending a long day installing a group art show, I walked out through the gallery's back garden to the parking lot, feeling exhausted and a little downhearted. This vibrant orange poppy caught my eye. It was so bright in the sun, it looked like flames and had formed the shape of a heart. It was like a little "secret" message to me that all was well, that there was love at work in my life, regardless of the outcome of the art show.
