The first time we went went to an apple orchard as a young family, we picked way too many apples… maybe because the air was crisp, the sun was shining and the longer we picked, the longer we got to stay. Our nearly-four-year-old took an enormous bite of the first one we picked. We really lived in the present that day and I think we “took a bite out of life.” This painting reminds me to create more of those moments to savor.
