This painting was created in collaboration with the young woman depicted. She chose the setting in front of the red dogwood bushes along the boardwalk at Fairy Lake park and the overcast light. She is wearing one of favorite outfits, of which the boots--acquired in a most serendipitous and happy way--are the crowning touch. It is a celebration of her beautiful, creative spirit.
